The Fair Trade Fair @ BTG

What power do our purchasing choices have in overseas development? Find out at the Fair Trade Fair, where you can chat with Fair Trade vendors and make a difference by purchasing ethically produced products.

The main hall will feature booths and displays by a mixture of other Non-Profit organizations, Sponsors, and Fair Trade vendors. There will be an opportunity to sample and purchase various Fair Trade products from the vendors, who will also share stories of where the products came from and discuss how Fair Trade has a positive impact on the lives of farmers and producers in developing countries. Also on hand to foster discussion will be Fair Trade Vancouver, a non-profit group that is working in close partnership with Engineers Without Borders to help build awareness and ultimately increase sales of Fair Trade products. Many of the non-profits and companies at the conference will also be part of the Fair Trade Pavilion that EWB and Fair Trade Vancouver are organizing as a part of EPIC 2010, the 4th annual Sustainability Consumer Expo that will run May 27th through 29th at the Vancouver Convention Center.
